The Southern Province Cement Company was established in accordance with the provisions of the Saudi Companies Law at the level of the Middle East, as it owns (3) plants in each of the Jazan region, the Asir region, and the Makkah region, with a production capacity estimated at (30,400) tons of clinker per day, and the grinding capacity is estimated at approximately (40,000). 1 ton of cement per day
Southern Province Cement Company is a Saudi joint stock company established by Royal Decree No. M/3 dated 12/2/1398 AH. Its headquarters are in Abha with a capital of 700,000,000 riyals and a single plant in Jazan. As a result of expansions and the establishment of plants in Bisha and Tihama, the capital was increased twice to reach 1,400,000,000 riyals currently. The number of shares is 140,000,000 shares, of which the state owns (58%) represented by the Public Investment Fund, the General Organization for Social Insurance and the General Retirement Authority. The company is considered one of the largest cement manufacturing companies in the Kingdom, as it owns three factories in Jazan, Bisha and Tihama with a total production capacity of (30,400) tons of clinker per day. The company’s production covers the needs of the southern regions and part of the western region. The company’s management has made double efforts in light of the current challenges to maintain the leading position it has achieved in recent years. Thanks to God and then to careful planning, good results have been achieved that have enabled the company to be at the forefront among national companies operating in the same field. This success would not have been achieved without God’s grace and the continuous support that the industrial sector receives from our wise government and the directives of the Board of Directors. The company is keen to apply total quality in its work and to have a presence in the field of excellence among major industrial companies, as it has received multiple awards in the fields of industrial safety and the ideal factory. The Saudization rate among the company’s employees is (58%), and the company works to develop them and raise their competencies as they are trained through specialized training centers in the factories, in addition to their enrollment in regular training courses inside and outside the Kingdom. Southern Region Cement Company won the King’s Award for the Ideal Factory twice, the first time in 1405 AH (1985 AD), and the second time in 1414 AH (1994 AD).
The company also won first place for safety in the Saudi Consulting Services House Competition. Southern Region Cement Company won three awards in social responsibility: the award for the most adopting opportunities, the award for the most interactive on the social responsibility platform, and the award for the most added initiatives.
Develop and implement an integrated security and safety system within the facility. Attract, train, and qualify competent individuals to carry out security and safety tasks , and Study, develop, and update security and safety systems in buildings and facilities to keep pace with modern technologies.
